Candy Coated Pecans

3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter -melted
11/2 - 2 lbs pecans

Oven - 300*

Beat egg whits til peaked
Slowly add and beat in sugar
Stir pecans into egg white mixture - make sure they are well coated
Pour pecans into a 9 x 13 glass baking dish and spread evenly
Pour butter over pecans, mix well and spread evenly

Bake @ 300* for 1 hr stirring every 10 minutes

Experiment adding different spices to egg/sugar mixture. Cinnamon and nutmeg are really good.

These are not only a great snack, but can really dress up a salad.
